Intro
I had a career in Marketing but as a swimmer I hated how sitting at a desk for ten plus hours a day felt. I always loved Biology and Anatomy and Physiology so I trained to become a Massage Therapist with the aim of making a difference in the workplace.
Our local swimming pool was my parents’ babysitter so I was swimming at the age of four and grew up with the Royal Life Saving Society, becoming a Lifeguard as soon as I was old enough and then Swimming Captain of my school. I love sea swimming, take part in openwater events and live my dream massaging Channel Swimmers prepping to swim across the North Channel. As well as my passion for the water, I love hiking, travel and food! And languages…and books…

Practice approach
Every treatment is tailored to the client’s individual needs and health concerns. I find out how each person is on the day of their massage whether they have been coming to me for seven years or they are a new referral from one of my colleagues at the clinic or new to the clinic for massage. I listen to my clients and also try to pick up on subtle body language cues both during consultation and the treatment.
I often combine several different massage styles in one treatment, for example, holistic and sports massages or acupressure and deep tissue. I find that the more relaxed a client is, the better I can work with their muscles and the more effective the treatment is.
I strive to ensure that my clients leave feeling a lot better both physically and mentally than when they arrived.
