Office worker neck and back pain treatment at North Down Chiro, Bangor

Specialist care for desk-based workers

Here at North Down Chiropractic and Physiotherapy a large proportion of our patients are desk workers. Sitting at a  desk for 8 hours,  5 days a week comes with its own set of  risks and common conditions associated with it. With this population we often see

·     Headaches and migraines

·     Neck pain

·     Lower back pain

·     Sciatica

·     Repetitive strain injury

·     Carpal tunnel

·     Tennis elbow/golfers elbow (from typing!)

Both our physiotherapists and chiropractors are fully trained to manage this population of patients, our treatment philosophy is to ease the initial pain with hands on therapy, often utilising treatments like spinal manipulation (cracking of joints), massage, acupuncture (dry needling) as well as stretching and taping. Once we have your initial pain under control we then endevour to support you in making sure the pain doesn’t reoccur; this stage often focuses around making changes like desk set up, occupational health assessments, strength exercsess and stress reduction strategies.

Our treatment focuses on treating you as a individual, all treatment plans are unique and focused around your presenting complaint as well as practicalities such as profession and time constraints.

If you are a office worker, or a office manager and you would like to speak to us about reducing work place injuries please contact us at 028 9185 9990.
