I was a fairly competitive powerlifter who had been struggling to mend, what I thought was either my glute or my hamstring for 14 months prior to consulting Luke.
I had tried everthing I could think of and everything suggested to me by the internet or my doctor. The injury was so specific to the movements I’d perform in powerlifting that I’d given some serious consideration to quitting the sport all together which left me feeling quite bitter because I still felt that I had much more to achieve.
As a last ditch effort I booked into see Luke to see if he could help (I was very sceptical)
He ran through a thorough assessment with me and explained what he believed the problem to be. He was honest about the prognosis in the assessment and explained the next steps he would recommend.
I was interested in his course of treatment as when speaking he showed an in depth knowledge of the field whilst considering the possibility that he could be wrong and if that was the case he would refer me to get a scan to get a better idea of what was going on (This was a great show of understanding and character as there is seldom a quick fix for problems in the body and diagnoses are always best guess scenarios despite what the industry would have us believe).
However what encouraged me the most to go with Luke for treatment was his vision on a total body correction process where he would endeavour to treat the root cause of the problem as well as the problem itself.
I began some weekly treatments with Luke and would leave each session with homework to do throughout the week to help the process.
To cut a long story short I’ve been pain free for 6 months now and my strength is almost back to where it was 2 years ago. I’m enjoying training again and looking forwards to competing again in September. This would not have been possible without Luke. So I guess what I’m trying to say is thank you.
