Luke Thomas Neal
(Masters in Chiropractic) – Doctor of Chiropractic
Principal chiropractor Luke Neal heads the multidisciplinary clinic located in Bangor, Northern Ireland. Luke graduated with a distinction in his masters of chiropractic degree from the University of South Wales. Luke has always had a fascination with anatomy, physiology and psychology and after a bad accident while training as a gymnast he was lucky enough to experience first-hand the magic of a manual therapist. Luke now trains and competes as a powerlifter for the Northern Irish Powerlifting Federation and the Irish Powerlifting Federation. Luke has a passion for treating sports people particularly those associated with strength sports.
It is vitally important for athletes to choose a clinician with a detailed knowledge of sporting endeavours, this way the clinician will understand the patients’ unique needs and be able to accommodate to their training.
As well as powerlifting Luke enjoys keeping up to date with the latest research/literature around chiropractic, physiotherapy, osteopathy and strength and conditioning. Luke has the perfect skillset to be able to bridge the gap between injury to performance, enabling him to take patients right through the process of time out to return to play.

Doctor of Chiropractic - BSc (Chiropractic)
Simon trained at Anglo-European College of Chiropractic, Bournemouth, and in 1994 he qualified with the BSc(chiropractic). The title 'Doctor of Chiropractic' was awarded soon afterwards by the European Chiropractic Union.
Simon initially had his own practice in Dorset before deciding to move to France with his family. Once there, he established a thriving Chiropractic Clinic, which, after 18 years, he has now decided to leave in the capable hands of a recent graduate, thereby enabling him to join Luke and his team at the North Down Chiropractic Clinic.
Simon practices in the true, traditional manner of Chiropractic. He also uses additional techniques as appropriate that integrate well with Chiropractic, such as Activator and Dry-needling (acupuncture). He is also trained in the use of Laser therapy for musculo-skeletal conditions, which can be very beneficial when used in conjunction with Chiropractic.
Of particular importance to Simon is how we 'do' things in our everyday life:Ergonomics. How we sit, work, sleep etc. Simple analysis and advice can lead to dramatic changes in a person's well being, and can minimise and prevent many types of bodily discomforts.
Simon has a straightforward, caring approach to caring for his patients and his favourite quotation of all time comes from Thomas A Edison:
“The doctor of the future will give no medication, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, diet and in the cause and prevention of disease. ~ ”
A classic quotation which Simon thinks we all should strive to consider in our everyday life.
(ITEC MTI) – Massage Therapist
Rosie Cowan qualified in massage in London where she obtained two diplomas, and her treatments will help ease aches and pains, boost recovery after sports training, stretch tight muscles and combat stress and insomnia, while promoting general wellbeing. Massage can dovetail with chiropractic treatment, making it more effective, but you do not have to be receiving chiropractic to benefit from regular massage. Rosie will tailor treatment to individual needs, from deep tissue to more gentle pressure. She is also qualified in pregnancy massage, aromatherapy and Indian head massage and is available at North Down Chiropractic Clinic on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Level 3 Certificate in Sports Massage – Massage Therapist
David works from the North Down Chiropractic Clinic all day Monday, when he uses a wide range of techniques to provide deep tissue massage treatment. His goal is to relieve muscle soreness resulting from physical activity and daily life. David also has a Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training and divides his time in the rest of his week working as a Personal Trainer and Massage Therapist in the Merchant Hotel, Belfast and at Body Success Gym in Bangor.
BA (Hons), MFHT, SEP
Marie first became interested in Craniosacral therapy during her fourth pregnancy and found that it brought her enormous benefits. Her youngest child was treated at only 2 weeks old at a seminar in Belfast City Hospital and the treatment had such a dramatic effect that she decided to train in CST herself.
Marie has now been practising Craniosacral Therapy (CST) since 2005 and also has a Diploma in Chinese Reflexology and Acupressure, as well as a Diploma in Anatomy and Physiology. She has also trained and qualified in Somatic Experiencing (SE), a psychotherapeutic approach to trauma held in the body. These therapies have enabled Marie to combine traditional Chinese medicine along with CST and SE techniques to assist clients in reducing pain, stress and overwhelm in their lives.
One of Marie’s specialisms is treating adults, others include working with family groups, treating the family as a whole in order to improve family dynamics and assisting them in managing the short term and long term effects of a sudden change in a family member’s well being. This can be a challenging birth with the stresses that the newborn and the whole family have to face, or ongoing physical, emotional or mental health issues.
Our very able reception team consists of three receptionists, Donna Rankin, Alison Morrison and Karren Curran.
